July Happenings!

This is a long one again… but I’m happy I’m all caught up now 🙂

July, July, July… where did you go?! I have never had time move so fast since having Magnolia!

July was busy for us (as usual!).

img_3740-1img_3848

img_3827

I mean… precious angel on the 4th of July!

We started off the month with the big 3M Open PGA tournament down the road from us (I’m talking less than a mile!). Logan volunteered all week and was SO excited to be so close to the players and even got to chat up Phil Mickelson 🙂

We did a little day date for a practice round while Magnolia was at daycare.

Her little arm kept going up instead of on the sides!

And then went with my Mom and Dennis on a weekend with Magnolia!

img_3944img_3912img_3881

Logan was a bit nervous bringing her… and we kinda thought she’d only last an hour but she lasted for 7 and was a rockstar!

img_3602

Magnolia enjoyed starting baby led weaning at daycare and sitting with all the “big” babies at the table!

img_4006img_3973-1

She enjoyed her little pool more outside this month while we had some warmer temps!

img_4023img_4017img_4046-1

We went to the farmer’s market downtown Minneapolis with my brother and his family and just about melted 🙂

img_4056img_4064img_4059

We headed down to Oshkosh to my inlaws for my SIL’s high school graduation party…

img_9154

We stopped in Eau Claire for the night to break up the drive and Logan worked from there…

img_4116

then onto Oshkosh for a long weekend!

img_4126-1

We enjoyed queso while sitting with Mimi..

img_4154img_4134

and seeing her Aunties and Uncle Tanner.

img_4133

img_3647

If you’re new around here, Logan and I met at UWEC so we were stoked to all represent and see our little girl wearing it too! 🙂

img_9203

And then we celebrated Auntie Cam’s graduation!

We played outside some more…

img_4259img_4248img_4157img_4158

and mastered the art of crawling!

img_4272

We went on just a few walks…

img_4290

and really liked eating some strawberries and foods again!

img_4352

Magnolia turned 7 months already somehow!!

img_4314

Then we headed back to EC for a weekend to spend time with Grandma (my Mom) while Logan was in a golf tournament!

img_4379img_4390

We went to one of my favorite wineries and they had a small animal area and Magnolia was in heaven!

img_4410-1img_4413-1img_4408-1img_4406-1

I’ve never seen her giggle so hard at just the llama eating (y’all, that was it! It didn’t move otherwise and she couldn’t stop laughing!) and everyone around was looking and smiling/laughing at how sweet she was!

img_4430

img_4396

Always Sophie!

img_4434

She really has the BEST smile around 🙂

She was REALLY excited to see Daddy after golf (as usual!).

img_4459

And Logan and I snuck away for a quick dinner featuring margaritas and queso! It was our first time without Magnolia (since the hockey game at 3 months) and even though she was with my Mom and in great hands, I still checked in and we were only gone about 40 minutes max….

img_4467

Poor Logan was ready to stay for a bit but I was ready to get back to Magnolia and bath time 🙂

img_4477img_4485

Logan finished up his golf tournament and we spent time at the park before heading to Great Grandmas for a little bit!

img_4455img_4496

We saw Uncle Alex a little bit more this month.

And I worked on my photography and editing skills 🙂

img_4501img_4510

And Magnolia made Logan a late “Daddy’s Day” present so we could have more than 1 hole 🙂

img_4645-2And that sums up the busy month!

img_4623

If you’re still reading then props to you!! This was a long one but I think we’re finally caught up in the lives of us!

Now let’s do some more fun posts 🙂

What fun thing did you do in July?!

Weekend Whereabouts!

It’s already Monday, y’all!

But thankfully, I have a short work week this week since we have the State Fair on Friday with my in-laws for our annual tradition!

img_4945

My weekend recap starts back on Thursday! I had originally asked off work for a trip with Logan’s family that didn’t end up working out; but I kept it off anyway because it’s basically the last week of summer and I only have so many with Magnolia Kate!

img_4955

We started our weekend off with our first trip to the zoo…

img_4957

She thought the orangutan was just so silly!

Magnolia LOVED seeing the llama and pony at the winery last month (you’ll see that recap Wednesday!) so I thought she’d be ALLLL about the animals at the zoo!

img_4965

Trying one of Mama’s favorite snacks – a giant pretzel! I’m a sucker for any concession areas! 🙂

Mom fail because it was SO busy with “kid groups” (it’s the end of summer so I’m sure?!) so it was hard to get Magnolia close enough to see the animals!

img_4975

But she sure was excited about seeing all the kids 🙂 Ha! Ever since daycare, she LOVES seeing kids!! She lets out squeals and giggles with kicks when she sees any!

img_4960

Lots of selfies today since Daddy had to work!

We ended the night with Magnolia Kate’s first Packer game (she was asleep the last preseason game!).

img_4996

She recently started wanting to touch the dogs especially their tails…. here she is testing their patience (thankfully they’re SO good with her!!)…

img_4998

And giggling SO hard when I tell her “No”… before she went back for Destin’s tail.. we may be in trouble! Ha!

img_5026

She looked so sweet with her Packers onesie!

img_5028

Our little Packer fan 🙂

If you can remember, Logan finished the basement back in January and hung the tv in February (the one he bought on Black Friday)  but we FINALLY just decided on and got our couch about a week ago so we’ve been enjoying the area!

img_3716-1

She LOVES having a sectional to crawl all over!

img_4926

Friday was a little bit more laid back with Magnolia’s first lunch date to Olive Garden with Jess!

img_5087-1

She is sure her Mama’s girl…. loving on those breadsticks!

img_5090-1

Then we met Daddy for a quick margarita before he headed to the golf course!

img_5091

Saturday was a big day for us – we headed to Chetek, WI for a day on the lake with my family!

img_5109-1

Gah she’s just the cutest thing!

We weren’t sure that Magnolia would enjoy the boat or even last an hour so we were a bit worried that the longer drive wouldn’t be worth it but guys…

img_5172

I’m pretty sure she tried every snack she could while on there! Ha!

she did SO well and loved the boat! The more waves the better for her!

img_5157

My little niece!

We were missing two of my nieces (Trinity and Sydney) and it makes me so sad when we get together without them! 😦

img_5184

We all just hung out on the boat and rode around a few hours…

img_5125

before docking at the sandbar! Surprisingly, Logan was the first to jump in!

img_5161

And again… we weren’t sure Magnolia would like the water much but she was such a fishy! She loved being in this floaty and would kick her feet with excitement (especially if she went over a wave!).

img_5160

She kept laying in her head on it too and we all thought she might actually fall asleep!

img_5117

No such luck… she was also on a no bottle strike as usual….

img_5136

She loved being able to crawl ALL over the pontoon and get into everyone’s snacks 🙂

img_5133

Nora was also VERY into trying everyone’s snacks 🙂

She’s the only baby I know that is happiest when she doesn’t eat!?! Ugh, it’ll be nice to be done with those in a few months!

img_5181

Goodness, my niece is OBSESSED with Grandma but thankfully she was such a good little sharer with Magnolia!

Before we headed out, Logan and my sister did some water skiing on my Uncle’s boat and shockingly enough, both were able to get up after 10+ years!

img_5148-1

Magnolia zonked out almost immediately when we got in the car!

img_5141

Enjoying ALL the strawberries – Ha ha!

Yesterday, we just ran a few errands (Costco, Target) and enjoyed a quick lunch at Dino’s Greek Mediterranean.

img_5226

Magnolia sure enjoyed the fries and all the seasonings!

Every day is something new with Magnolia and I’m loving all of it! I’m so excited for her to do the fair with us this year – I think she’ll love the people watching and trying some foods!

img_5045-2

I’m sharing what our July looked like on Wednesday and then we’ll be all caught up finally!

My birthday + June happenings!

Like I said on Monday… I want to document Magnolia’s life for ourselves (I can’t tell you how fun it is when I look back at blog posts and see what we were doing random weekends!) so I’m going back a little bit… grab some coffee or wine – there’s a lot of pictures!

It was my golden birthday this year so we decided to both take off work and spend the day together with Ms. Magnolia Kate!

img_2643-2

We headed to the arboretum with a picnic and looked at all the gorgeous flowers!

img_0157

It was the first day that was almost 90 degrees (and we had a barely 5 month old!) so we tried to do our best to keep her cool and keep her on nap schedule!

img_2652

It was such a simple day but so perfect too because we finally had our little girl and I was with the people who matter most!

img_0173

The next day, I headed on over to my brother’s to celebrate a little bit with my Mom and my brother’s family.

img_2675

We went on a longer walk and just hung out (and grilled out).  It was nice to be able to relax outside a bit.

img_2708

We finished the night with the park (Magnolia’s first time on the swings!) and ice cream at Selmas!

img_2713-1img_2726img_2741

Magnolia and I both got sick with the flu this month… at the same time! ugh! Talk about rough!

58135129401__11dff570-f848-4adb-9001-552c86fd9729

Magnolia enjoyed her first time in her little “splash pad pool”.

img_2951img_2948

And we took our first official walk to the park as a family!

img_2984

Logan’s not a big walker (I mean he doesnt quite enjoy going on walks a lot around the neighborhood) so don’t let this fool you in thinking we go all the time! Ha!

img_3090

Logan went on his first work trip to Denver so we were solo girls for a few days!

img_3026

My brother, SIL and niece came over to keep us company one night!

img_3031

She was definitely ready to see Daddy after those three days!

img_2910img_2904

She learned how to crawl backwards in June and was getting ready to move forward!

img_3103

Donuts with Dad at daycare!

We celebrated Logan’s first Father’s Day with a trip to the outlet mall…

img_3160

and play time outside!

img_3170

Did I mention she likes to be outside?! 🙂

img_3139-1img_3153

We had our first girl’s brunch out and she did GREAT!

img_3126-1

We went to our first Strawberry Festival and Magnolia LOVED the strawberries!

img_3314img_3297img_3302

First time she tried them and she was hooked!

img_3274-1

She wore some cute outfits…

img_3470-1img_3607img_3472-1img_3456

And even decided she might want to be Daddy’s Caddy!

img_3492

We made a road trip to Eau Claire for a night to be with the girls!

img_3509img_3535

img_3550

How is my first niece going to be 17 next month?!?!

img_3525

img_3555

And this niece be in high school?!

img_3561

img_3580

It’s so special to me that we have these memories for Magnolia with her great grandparents! Even if she won’t remember them all, I hope she has TONS in the many years to come!

Magnolia sat in a “public” high chair for the first time at the mall!

img_3566

And rode in her first cart as a big girl!

img_3600img_3597

She was obsessed!! I mean, literally squealing with excitement that people kept staring and smiling!

Magnolia turned SIX months in June and i’m amazed at everything she has learned to do!

img_3395

Goodness, this was a good month! I wasn’t thinking we did a ton when I thought back but wow, we were busy!

Onto the next month…. 😉
