Happy Monday! Can I just say what a good Monday it is?! Christmas in July is on Hallmark and I signed up for FrndlyTV for the month just to watch it! We gave up cable a while ago because we already had Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime but I just can’t give up my Hallmark Christmas! I cancel and resign up in October when it starts again 🙂
Moving on… even though I know you all are really riveted by my love of Christmas!

We were crazy this past weekend and headed on our first “road trip” to visit my Mom and Grandma for the weekend… with both babies and a toddler in tow! It’s about an hour and 45 minute drive so it wasn’t terribly far but still was definitely further than a day trip.

We got to town on Friday early afternoon, just in time for Logan to head out for a tee time (since I was with my Mom, I said I didn’t mind if he went out for a few rounds of golf – and it’s usually a better time for all of us when he does that – HA!) and for Magnolia to nap. We hung out around my Mom’s for most of the day except when we took Magnolia over to the flower shop to see goats and kitties – yes goats at the flower shop 🙂 She’s always scared of them but also always begs to go see them?! Toddlers, right?

Saturday, we headed out to the little zoo before the rain started! Magnolia was ecstatic to go and kept asking about seeing the animals. Once we’d see one, she’d immediately say “‘nother animal? next animal?”.

They have a small petting zoo area in a barn and when we walked in, she immediately was nervous about the goats but then saw the baby chicks and it was alllll over. There were other families in there and they enjoyed hearing her animals sounds…

I mean, she was screaming already and it echoed a ton in there… I kept saying “Sorry….” and they would just laugh. She loved the mini horse and donkey too – but those goats and sheep, nooo nooo noo.

After the zoo, we headed over to one of my favorite quick lunch places – Fazolis! Do you have one by you? Their breadsticks are SO good!! And then we headed over to my Grandmas for a while.

Side note: when I was in college in Eau Claire, I used to go to my Grandma’s all the time during my breaks since it was so close to campus. We’d watch soaps, chat and have lunch (my cousin too!). I still think about those times even now and enjoyed them so much! So I always love seeing my Grandma and just chatting.

She enjoyed seeing the girls and Magnolia since the last time she saw her was last July due to Covid?! So it was great spending time with her.

We also spent our day at her house on Sunday again before heading home Sunday afternoon!

It was a lot of work traveling with 5 week olds… like ALOT. We knew it would be but had to be out of our house for the weekend (more on that shortly) and we’re glad we’re back home and back to the grind!

Good golly your girls are too precious! I love the matching outfits and Magnolia being a big help! You’re looking amazing and glowing!

Thank you!! Magnolia is such a big help! When they are crying she screams “I get her!” And runs to find which one is crying! Then she’ll say “it’s ok! It’s ok!” 🥰
