Like I said on Monday… I want to document Magnolia’s life for ourselves (I can’t tell you how fun it is when I look back at blog posts and see what we were doing random weekends!) so I’m going back a little bit… grab some coffee or wine – there’s a lot of pictures!
It was my golden birthday this year so we decided to both take off work and spend the day together with Ms. Magnolia Kate!
We headed to the arboretum with a picnic and looked at all the gorgeous flowers!
It was the first day that was almost 90 degrees (and we had a barely 5 month old!) so we tried to do our best to keep her cool and keep her on nap schedule!
It was such a simple day but so perfect too because we finally had our little girl and I was with the people who matter most!
The next day, I headed on over to my brother’s to celebrate a little bit with my Mom and my brother’s family.
We went on a longer walk and just hung out (and grilled out).Β It was nice to be able to relax outside a bit.
We finished the night with the park (Magnolia’s first time on the swings!) and ice cream at Selmas!
Magnolia and I both got sick with the flu this month… at the same time! ugh! Talk about rough!
Magnolia enjoyed her first time in her little “splash pad pool”.
And we took our first official walk to the park as a family!
Logan’s not a big walker (I mean he doesnt quite enjoy going on walks a lot around the neighborhood) so don’t let this fool you in thinking we go all the time! Ha!
Logan went on his first work trip to Denver so we were solo girls for a few days!
My brother, SIL and niece came over to keep us company one night!
She was definitely ready to see Daddy after those three days!
She learned how to crawl backwards in June and was getting ready to move forward!

Donuts with Dad at daycare!
We celebrated Logan’s first Father’s Day with a trip to the outlet mall…
and play time outside!
Did I mention she likes to be outside?! π
We had our first girl’s brunch out and she did GREAT!
We went to our first Strawberry Festival and Magnolia LOVED the strawberries!
First time she tried them and she was hooked!
She wore some cute outfits…
And even decided she might want to be Daddy’s Caddy!
We made a road trip to Eau Claire for a night to be with the girls!

How is my first niece going to be 17 next month?!?!

And this niece be in high school?!

It’s so special to me that we have these memories for Magnolia with her great grandparents! Even if she won’t remember them all, I hope she has TONS in the many years to come!
Magnolia sat in a “public” high chair for the first time at the mall!
And rode in her first cart as a big girl!
She was obsessed!! I mean, literally squealing with excitement that people kept staring and smiling!
Magnolia turned SIX months in June and i’m amazed at everything she has learned to do!
Goodness, this was a good month! I wasn’t thinking we did a ton when I thought back but wow, we were busy!
Onto the next month…. π

Goodness that’s a lot of fun! Magnolia is so photogenic with that smile. She lights up the room I bet! I happened to notice the Christmas tree blanket during one of the outside play times. #soulsister Happy (belated) birthday, too!
