Life lately + Lilly Sale!

Happy Thursday!

I can’t believe how quickly this week is flying by! I thought I’d share some life lately since it’s been a while- mixed with some Lilly Pulitzer sale purchases!

We had dinner with the Johnsons last week and it’s always so good to see them! Elaine is due next week so we’re hoping the next time we see them will be with their little baby in their arms (or my arms, whichever ;))! Ps: doesn’t she look amazing?!

I finally got my butt out onto the golf course since I hadn’t been since Memorial Day! Can you believe that?! These busy weekends are getting in the way of my other activities! It was so fun to finally walk the course (and attempt to play since I’m not the best) and catch up!

I got a nice catch up session with Michael, my hair stylist and he covered up those gray hairs! I’ve been getting gray hairs for so many years and sometimes going every 8 weeks for color just isn’t enough!

Now, let’s chat the Lilly sale.. I was so happy to hear things that y’all were able to scoop up πŸ™‚ I thought I’d share a few things I purchased and can’t wait to get!!

I purchased this dress and am so excited to give it a try! My SIL has the same one (in another print) and it’s super cute on her so hoping it’s the same for me!

These tops were just too cute and such a good price!

How cute is this print?!

And even though this next one is more plain than screaming Lilly – I’m really excited to wear this one in the fall with some riding boots and a scarf πŸ™‚

I did get a few Christmas presents too which is always nice to cross off the list!

What were you able to get? I thought it was a lot smoother this year – I mean it took 3 hours to get in but once I was in – it was nice that everything wasn’t gone!

Hope you are having a great Thursday!

Weekend Whereabouts!

This weekend flew by in the blink of an eye! Β My in-laws were in town for the State Fair (they visit every year for it) and it’s always such a fun time! Β Let’s recap how it all went down….

We headed to the Fair on Friday afternoon (via park n ride – we were a little smarter this time!).

Minnesota_State_Fair

Once there, we headed straight for, what you ask?! Umm food!!

img_9044

Our first food of choice was Chicken IN a Waffle.. and I have to say, it was really good!

img_9075

Holly’s Hobby Christmas Shoppe is my favorite every year!!

We definitely ate our way through the fair as I’m sure you couldn’t tell or anything πŸ˜‰

img_9074

And of course we needed shaved ice!!

Minnesota_State_Fair

And Martha’s Cookies are thebomb.com… they’re always a favorite of ours!

Minnesota_State_Fair

Chocolate covered bacon on a stick is a repeat place for those two!

img_9090

We stopped briefly to watch Cambree do some pull ups at the Navy station! She kicked butt and almost beat out the first place girl… so awesome!

img_9057

We continued eating and enjoyed some mini corn dogs…

img_9091

and this fun N/A Pina Colada!

My favorites were pork chops on a stick (not pictured) and roasted corn!

img_9077

We had to take a picture to show how well our Lipsense was staying on πŸ™‚

img_9054

After the Fair, we hung out around the house and grilled out. Β We had an appt the next morning so we were off to bed pretty early!

Logan stopped by Glam Doll Donuts in the AM and we all enjoyed some pretty good treats!

Late Saturday afternoon, we headed to play a little Bingo and guess what?! No one won 😦 But someone at the table next to us did win $1200! Β Isn’t that crazy?! Oh how I wish that could have been me πŸ™‚

img_9083

After Bingo, we headed home to relax again (the weather all weekend was so terrible!) and to smoke some chicken!

img_9089

Just sharing a little Lipsense picture πŸ™‚ So glad they all fell in love with the product as much as me!

And that’s where my pictures end… surprise surprise! Ha! We visited and watched the Packers preseason game along with the Fight. Β Did you watch that?! I NEVER watch any of those things but tuned in for it to see what the hype was about.

Sunday, we cleaned up the basement; ie, went through and threw out SO much stuff and let’s just say our donation pile is huge! Β Our siding was finished on Friday so we were able to use the dumpster until they pick it up today!

I’ll share some before and after pictures of our house on Friday πŸ™‚

What did you do this past weekend?! Can you believe it’s already Labor Day weekend in just a few days?!

After Party Sale

Happy Monday! Guess what this morning is?! It’s time for the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale!

If you’re new around here, I spoke more about it last year here. Β Lilly Pulitzer has 2 sales a year (one in January and one in August) where they offer their clothing at a large percentage off. Β Hopefully the site won’t crash this year (although I say that every year) and we’ll all find some great deals!

I thought I’d take a few minutes to share a few of my favorite pieces from the last few years with some sizing info! I’ll be sharing what I snagged from this sale throughout the day!

img_8762

img_7431-1

This t-shirt dress is ridiculously comfortable. Β It’s perfect for a casual day or you can add a cardigan and heels for a day in the office!

img_7724-1

The dress above fits TTS and is super comfortable. Β I would dress it up with heels for a happy hour or with a long sweater for the office.

img_7161-1

The Essie Dress is one of my favorite dresses. Β It’s versatile and is usually always part of the sale!

img_5678

I’m wearing the Ali Dress in the above and below pictures. Β This dress is great as well (aren’t they all?!) because it’s a casual dress that fits TTS.Β img_5221-1img_5403

I love a good cold-shoulder shirt so this dress was beautiful for a girls night out. Β Definitely recommend this dress for a dressier event; wedding, night out, or just for fun!

img_4700

I love their long sleeve tops (besides more than just the Elsas) because I can wear them to work and it’s easy to throw on! This top runs TTS and is meant to be a looser fitting top.

img_5063

The Enna tops are so incredibly cute! They also have the perfect white hanger strings (is that what they’re called?! ha!) so it keeps the top ON your shoulders! Win win in my book!

img_5045-1

This dress is beyond gorgeous – yes, it’s bright but that’s what I love! It’s great for work or for a more dressier event; I wore this to Easter Mass but have also worn it to work. It runs TTS.

img_4692

This Del Lago Tunic is incredibly versatile; it can be a swim cover up, worn with booties for fall or with sandals if you still live in a warm area! Β It runs TTS and I got a small in it!

img_4682

The Elsa tops are always a go-to for me when the chillier weather is here! I own a few of these and they run TTS – I’m wearing an XS in this one as that’s what was available but a small would have been better (and my normal size).

img_4098

The Popovers are one of my favorite pieces from Lilly! They are so comfortable but make you look like you made a lot of effort as well. These run a little bit – I sized down to an XS but the Small would have been OK as well. Perfect for fall and winter!

img_3980

I styled it with a pink puffer vest for winter and spring.

img_3977

The Etta top is one of my favorites as well – it’s the perfect fit but does run a little bit so I’d size down if this one is in your cart!

img_2784

Another Enna top.. this one is so pretty and bright! Β I love Lilly’s prints but love a good pink top as well. Β This top runs a little bit so I’d size down one!

img_2384

Another Elsa top – Again, these are pretty TTS!

lilly-pulitzer-with-nieces

Another Essie Dress – can you tell I love these?!

img_9149

I have a few of these Marlowe dresses and they are great for fall with boots! These run a little small so I’d size up one if you find you love these!

IMG_6480

Good luck shopping today. Β You will be placed in a virtual line like years past so just be patient if you can!

What things are you hoping are part of the sale and what did you end up purchasing?!

Happy shopping!

Weekend Whereabouts!

Happy Tuesday!

Guess what’s finally getting done today?! Our house!  Back in June, I shared that we had a crazy amount of hail damage and we’re just now getting our siding done!  We’re doing a whole wrap-around and adding more for curb appeal so I’m excited to see it all done.

This past weekend was spent celebrating one of my besties and it was so much fun!  I didn’t know many of her friends before this so I wasn’t sure what to expect but it ended up being pretty great!

The weekend started off with Carlos Creek Winery for the girls and I showed up at the tail end of it!  I started a new medication recently so I wasn’t able to drink so I have to say, it’s probably OK that I didn’t get much time at the winery! ha!

We headed back to the cabin after the winery and the gals and I decorated it up πŸ™‚ The theme of the weekend was “I’m on a Float” to the song “I’m on a Boat” because that was the main request by the Bride: to float!

We had the cutest koozies and cups made for the party!

Friday night was low-key with a few games, dinner and chatting!

Saturday, a few of us gals were up bright and early and headed straight for the hot tub!

After hanging in there a bit and having breakfast on the deck, Cyndi and I headed down to the dock for some sun and relaxation while the other girls took their time getting up (or feeling better).

The afternoon was spent FLOATING and it was glorious!

We dubbed ourselves the best “non-bridesmaids” ever for planning such a fun bash!

Jess has a small elevator (not what you’re thinking I’m sure!) and half way through the day, it decided to not work! So guess what we had to do…?! Carry everything up those retaining walls at the end of the day! It was a sight to see- that’s for sure! πŸ˜‚

We grilled out that night before heading out on the town!

Crowning Ms America πŸ™‚

Isn’t she just gorgeous?! Can’t wait to see pictures of her on her wedding day!!

Sunday morning, I headed home pretty early as I wasn’t feeling the best!  We picked out our new lights for the front of the house and ran a few more errands before finishing the night off watching a movie with the Mr!

Back to the grind this week and ready to have our house done and beautiful πŸ™‚

How was your weekend?! Did you do anything fun?

heartKristi

Fri-Yay!

Happy Friday!

Hope you have some fun plans this weekend – know what mine are?! Celebrating this girl…

Jess

It’s Bachelorette weekend for her at her cabin and we’re all pretty stoked for the festivities! She’s having a small wedding, AKA none of are invited so we need to celebrate big until her reception in November πŸ™‚

One month ago today, I shared with y’all about my new journey with Lipsense and so many of you have reached out to me to check on how it’s all going.. So guess what I’m doing today?! Sharing just that πŸ™‚

To recap in case you’re new around here… I tried Lipsense, loved it and then decided to sign up as a distributor. Β In reality, I signed up because I have an obsession with lip colors and knew I couldn’t stop at just one and the discount would definitely help with my obsession – but shortly after signing up, I had multiple people ask about it and WHAM I decided I’d order some to sell as well.

My mindset was if I could make a few extra bucks a month sharing products that I truly love and wear then that’s a pretty simple deal! And let me tell you… after a month of trying and selling the products – I still really love it and am so glad I jumped in! Β I am not someone who would have ever thought I’d enjoy doing direct sales – I mean, who does? – BUT I like that it gets me out of my comfort zone and I love to share products that make women feel beautiful!

Lipsense_not_a_stain

I had a Lips N’ Sips party with friends and all of them loved the products. Β I’ve sold from Facebook (and instagram) as well and every time I’ve reached out to friends and customers to see if they received the product and how they like it – it’s been a resounding “Love it! I need more colors!” which just makes my heart so happy! Β I’ve gone way out of my comfort zone and have done quite a few Facebook Lives and honestly.. I’m so nervous doing them but I love it at the same time! I love having a conversation with all of you ladies and even if you’re not buying, it’s still fun to chat about what’s going on and ask any questions!

Also… my calendar is open (for the most part) for FB parties! Super easy and guess what you get as a hostess…?! Discounts and prizes – and it’s fun! So if you’re interested in that, let me know and I can send you more info! πŸ™‚ And as always, if you have any questions – drop them in the comments below or shoot me a message! I always love to help!

FB Party

That’s it for now, I believe… and after work, I’ll be off to celebrate the Future Mrs. Spinner! And don’t worry, she’ll be wearing her Lipsense too so I’ll be sure to take pictures of it all to document next week πŸ™‚

PS – how many times can I say “love” in one post?!

Show & Tell – Guilty Pleasures!

Show&Tell

Two blog posts in a row?! Does this mean I’m finally getting back to my groove?! Don’t get too excited but I’m hoping so!

Today, I’m linking up with Andrea to discuss our guilty pleasures!

{Bachelor in Paradise}

bachelor-in-paradise-logo

Bachelor in Paradise… need I say more?! I know it’s such a dumb show but I love watching the drama unfold! It started last night and I’m catching up with it today (so no spoilers!). Β Although, after the whole Corrine/DeMario deal and it saying that the couples are already picked before they go on the show makes it a little less appealing to me lately… that shouldn’t be the only thing, right?! ha!

{Lifetime Movies & ID Discovery}

I don’t know why but I just love these.. And to be honest, really just the thriller ones! They’re beyond ridiculous and most of the acting is terrible BUT I can’t help it. Β I had to stop watching ID Discovery at one point because my nightmares were crazy; especially since it’s all REAL stories! Ugh.. but it’s so good so it’s hard to stop watching it all!

{Music}

Britney Spears

Listening to 2000’s hip hop and boy bands/Britney Spears! Guarantee we’ll be listening to some St. Lunatic’s Pandora this weekend at the Lake and I’m so stoked! Β Every time I’m in the car by myself for longer drives, I just love jamming out to some B Spears and “oldies”!

{Queso}

Queso

I don’t know why but I couldn’t live without some queso and chips in my life! If I could have some queso and chips – and not just like from the store in a jar… that’s not good but from an actual Mexican restaurant then my life would be pretty full πŸ™‚ And I don’t just mean my stomach! haha!

{Watching Instagram & FB Live videos}

Love them. Love them. Love them. I feel like I should do like 5 a day because I just love watching other people’s so much. Β But not just like videos that are shared on FB but actual ones from people and into their lives. So interesting!

I could probably think of a million more guilty pleasures but I figured I’d stop here for now… when I asked Logan what my guilty pleasures were he responded with “Smooch by Kristi” hahahaha! Men… πŸ˜‰

What are some of your guilty pleasures?!

Hope you have a fabulous Tuesday!

Weekend Whereabouts!

I blinked and it’s already Monday… I think I need a weekend at home to truly feel like it’s a weekend!  But there’s no rest for the wicked and we’re busy until October so.. I guess i’ll rest over winter?!

This past weekend was spent in Eau Claire celebrating my Brother and SIL’s little one!  In case you didn’t know, my SIL is pregnant and due next month and we’re just so excited! We don’t know Baby B’s gender or name but that didn’t stop us from celebrating!

The weekend started with dinner at Cowboy Jack’s on the river.  We had dinner, drinks and played a few games (hello, Jenga!) followed by chatting around the table at my Mom’s until bedtime.  Don’t even get me started on the amount of sleep I got on Friday night.. let’s just say, I maybe got an hour?!?!

Saturday morning we were all geared up and ran a few errands to prepare for the day!  First stop: Farmer’s Market for some fresh and pretty flowers!

After running our errands, it was time to set up a bit and get all the food prepared.

Once the shower started, we played 4 games that were pretty easy and fun while snacking and drinking some Sangria πŸ™‚

It was so nice to see everyone who took a little bit out of their day to attend and show some support for Baby B and the parents-to-be!

After cleaning up, we ended the night with a family movie, This Means War (love me some Reese Witherspoon!! And the guys weren’t hard to look at either ;)).

Sunday AM, we all headed home and I spent the rest of the day watching a few Christmas movies! Yes, I realize it’s August BUT it just put me in such a happy mood since I was so tired from the weekend!

Well, that’s a wrap and I’m gearing up for a week of work then a weekend filled with celebrations for Bachelorette Jess!

How was your weekend? Are you feeling refreshed?!

Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday!

img_7577

I’m back and linking up (again) with these lovely ladies to share a few favorites from the last few weeks!  Although, to be honest, I’ll probably be sharing more about my fun little Lips N’ Sips party that went on last night… but we’ll see πŸ˜‰

{One}

My sister, Mama and myself are hosting a small baby shower for my brother and SIL in Eau Claire this weekend and it’s going to be so much fun!  We have a few games picked out and we’re going to grill out a bit – simple so we can admire the Baby Mama and gifts πŸ™‚  It also may or may not include some Sangria!

Alex_Anne_Us

It’s always a fun time when we can all get together!

{Two}

Lips N’ Sips party!

I had about 10 girlfriends come over last night to try out the infamous Lipsense!  It was a huge hit and all the girls loved it! The only issue: What color to go with?! And how can we try more colors?!

They were amazed that it really DOESN’T come off! Jess even sent me a picture this morning with it all still intact from last night!  I’m so excited to see all the pictures of these girls with it on.  It becomes addicting after you get one or two colors πŸ™‚

{Three}

I shared about our Crawfish Boil last weekend yesterday and I’m still reminiscing about how much fun it was!  It’s such a good time to just be home and have friends and family over!

img_8608

{Four}

This one is a shocker to myself.. but going to the gym!  I hadn’t gone in 23 months (I know… it’s ridiculous to keep paying for it!) but finally I gave in last week and went two times!

I went twice this last week as well and I’m actually really enjoying it! I just feel so much better after – even if I’m only doing 25 mins on the elliptical and a few machines to start!

Short and sweet this week! What are some of your highs of the week?!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Hour! – lets chat!

img_3621

Hi, remember me?! The girl who used to post semi-regularly and has now been non-existent for the last 2 weeks?!

I’m linking up with Holly over at Osborn Extravaganza (have you seen her new cute little boy?! If not, go check him out!) for just a little bit of chit-chat today!

I thought i’d share a little bit of my life lately since I’ve been gone so long!

Our weekends have been insane and they won’t start clearing up until October… which makes me want to cry! I mean for real… didn’t I learn anything last summer with “saying no” to everything?! Ugh.. Alas.. this is what we’ve been up to:

We spent a weekend in Eau Claire for a golf tournament Logan was in… It was two days and he tied for 2nd out of 10 teams! Score!

While he golfed, I hung out with my Mama and SIL.

We’re only somewhat “matching” ha!

We went out for drinks at Cowboy Jacks – it’s new to EC and their atmosphere is really sweet on the river! We have them in the cities, but they don’t seem nearly as fun!

After drinks, we ate out at Milwaukee Burger and their cheese curds are always *heart eyes*!

We spent time at a few wineries as well that weekend! My favorite winery is Autumn Harvest in Chippewa Falls and it’s the only winery where I actually really liked EVERY wine I tried! My SIL was surprised since she felt the same way after trying some πŸ™‚

I mean, for real… so often, I only like 1 of the wines and the others make me not so happy! Of course, after a few glasses I’m not as picky!

Autumn Harvest had a Customer Appreciation Day going on and had little animals you could hold, pet and feed! The little piglets were only 5 days old and so sweet! We went to a few greenhouses that have cute little shops before heading to lunch with my Grandma at the mall – it’s the only place in EC that has Rocky Roccoco’s and i’m obsessed so we always need to stop by there!

I clearly haven’t seen sun in all that time we’ve been busy, huh??

We had our annual Crawfish Boil this past weekend and it was a hit as usual!

We had friends come from near and far! We were so excited to have these folks above visit for the day and night! Their little boy is seriously the sweetest. Even though we don’t see them as often as we’d like, he still loves being with us and snuggling πŸ™‚

We saw friends we haven’t seen all summer long!

We had my SIL in town for the whole weekend and it was so great to have some quality time with her the last few weekends! We watched movies on Sunday on the couch before she left (as well as rented one on Friday) and it was just so much fun! We’re already counting down until we see her again! The spread was huge per usual and it was just so nice to chat with everyone.  It’s fun to get everyone together and just eat some good food, play some fun games and drink some great Sangria πŸ™‚ #priorities

Doesn’t that crawfish just look so yummy!? Thanks to Katie for remembering to take pictures πŸ˜‰We don’t have our new siding up yet (in case you didn’t notice those pretty holes in the back) but hope to have it done soon!  We’re going with a whole different color so I’m excited to see how it turns out!
My SIL went to the Sculpture Garden in Minneapolis this past weekend as well. I’ve always heard about it (I think everyone has seen the spoon and cherry!!) but never been so we thought we’d give it a try!  I’m not going to lie… it wasn’t all that great! I thought there would be more sculptures but we did see a sweet Bride and Groom doing a first look πŸ™‚

We went to breakfast at Eggy’s Diner right by the Garden and treated ourselves to some Mimosas!  Or in our case, champagne with a splash of OJ! πŸ™‚

I’m hosting a Lips N’ Sips party tonight with my girlfriends and am excited for them to try out the product! When I first started selling it, one of my girlfriends (I’m looking at you, Meagan :)) suggested having a quick girls night so they could all give the colors a try and decide color(s) they love!

img_8602

I started this little venture (you can read about it here) a few weeks ago and it’s insane how much has been selling! This product definitely speaks for itself and it helps when it’s something I believe in and love!

I got my SIL and MIL (amongst so many other!) hooked and my Mama is trying hers this weekend! If you’re interested in learning more or watching my Live videos – you can join my FB group here.

Hmm that’s been our life lately! I’m hoping to be back to regular blogging and will share about my Lips N’ Sips party tomorrow on the blog as one of my favorites from this week! πŸ™‚

Thanks for sticking around through my delay in the blogging world!
