It’s already April somehow and I actually read 4 books last month! Of course, you can count on me to let you know how these books are and whether or not I’d actually read them again… I read an Elin Hilderbrand book again this month because I just can’t enough as well as some different books! So let’s get in it!
{One}
I Said Yes – Emily Maynard (from the Bachelor) was the first book I finished and while this book took me a little bit to get into – I ended up really enjoying it! The Bachelor/Bachelorette is one of my guilty pleasures so it was interesting to hear the behind the scenes of the show! I was never a huge fan of Emily on her first season (and didn’t watch her as the Bachelorette because of that) but did enjoy her story and her feelings about the show! If you enjoy the shows then you’ll like hearing first hand what really happens for each episode!

I picked up It Ends With Us due to all the recommendations on social media. Like most people have said, I did read this book in just a few days and it was definitely different than what I expected. It follows a girl and a new guy she meets. She questions her new relationship and can’t help but think back to her first love (in a nutshell)! The book was good! Was it a favorite? I can’t decide. It was an interesting story though and I couldn’t figure out what exactly was going to happen with the main characters! My sister is in the middle of reading it now and she said it’s somewhat a breath of fresh air compared to the same types of books we usually read! It is a graphic book in some instances, so if you aren’t into that, then I’d maybe leave this one on the shelf.

Another Elin Hilderbrand book… are you surprised?! I really love her books and this one didn’t disappoint. It kept me on my toes! This book is about 3 women who are unexpected friends – and their families/problems. One of them goes missing one night, and the friendships unravel from there. I can’t say more since I don’t want to give it away but it was a good one! This was a light and easy read so if you’re headed to the beach, pool or just want a quick book, pick this one up!

This was another recommendation from some of you and I read through it in days! It follows a “perfect” wife and husband throughout their life after they get married. It has twists and turns and there are some graphic descriptions. I really is where nightmares come from! If you feel like reading a good, thriller then definitely pick this one up! But if you aren’t into that stuff then leave this one too and stick to Elin Hilderbrand 🙂
I just started reading Silver Girl and can’t wait to see what happens! Have you read any of these books? If so, what were your thoughts?! And do you have any recommendations for me to pick up this month?

If you haven’t, you should read some from Kristin Hannah! One of my very favorites is Firefly Lane. She reminds of Elin Hildebrand so I think you would enjoy!

I’m alwausing curious to know how much time people spend reading- I feel like I must be the slowest reader on the planet and only dedicate 20 minutes to my book each night.

I totally agree! I go in spurts (if that’s a word??) and some times I’ll read a few hours a night while logan is in class and other times it takes me weeks to get through one book! I’m sure that will all change once we have kiddos too!

I really liked Silver Girls!!! I haven’t read Nantucket Nights, yet, so I will have to get on that one. I have been of Elin lately and need to get her books back in rotation! I loved Behind Closed Doors – such a fast read – I HAD to know what was going to happen. And I thought it ended perfectly. I wasn’t a fan of It Ends With Us – I wanted it to end differently!
