Happy Hump Day and first Workin’ It Wednesday of the year! Today, I’m linking up with Shay and Erika to share how we’re keeping those New Years goals together!
Last week, I shared my New Years goals and I’m pretty excited to stay I’m still on track.. I mean, it’s been a whole 11 days so I guess that’s probably why! How am I going to stay on track and hold myself accountable months from now? That’s the magic question!
{One}
I am happy to say I’ve actually cooked 3 meals last week and 2 already this week! Who am I?! I can attribute this to the fun new cookbook I got for Christmas! It’s been fun looking through and picking out 3 recipes each week. I’m hoping this will keep up my motivation!
{Two}
To workout at least 3 times a week ; at home or at the gym. My girlfriend, Jess has been a huge help with this! While I didn’t hit my 3 times mark last week, I did two times and that’s a win in my book! It’s been freezing (I mean, literally below zero) and snowing like crazy so the gym hasn’t been on the top of my list but when Jess texts me “I’m getting ready to work out, are you in??” I feel so bad saying “Nah, I’m going to sit on the couch and drink more wine instead”. So I usually get my butt up and start the workout DVD ( yes again, it’s only on week 2). I’m hoping this can keep up my work out routines!
Seriously how I feel EVERY.DAY.!
Story of my life.
{Three}
To produce a blog post at least 3 days a week. I have planned out a few posts for at least this month so I’m hoping that motivation keeps up 🙂 Thank you to so many of you that filled out my survey! It will definitely help me get at least 3 blog posts out to you sweet people. So get ready and be excited 🙂
You’re totally thinking this right?! ha!
{Four}
Learn to say no. I definitely intend to use my right to say No and often 🙂 The hubs and I would like at least 2 weeks at home with no plans (or little plans) so we’ll definitely take that into consideration when people ask us to do things. I always wish we can say yes to everything when asked but after last year, we need a year of “no’s”. I know that sounds mean but we just really want to focus in on the important things and one important thing is spending time at our home and getting a little R&R on the weekends!
Duh.
Sorry for all the memes but seriously.. blog posts are so boring without pictures!
So there you have it… I’d like to do a “check in” every month to see how I’m doing on all my goals. Hopefully y’all will hold me accountable! 🙂
Next month, we’ll be linking up to discuss how we’re keeping our marriage strong in case you want to link up as well!
Kristi
Way to go with your goals so far! “No” can be so hard, especially if you feel like you are letting people down. That is something I really struggle with as well. Have a great day!

I totally agree! I always feel like I’m letting someone down if I say no.. but I realized I need some me time and time alone with my husband so I need to suck it up when I feel bad! Or try to… thanks for reading along!!

I love your memes…they all made me chuckle and the “sorry I can’t go…”, well that makes me think of this t-shirt I’ve seen and seriously would like to be brave enough to wear that says, “yeah, sorry I was late. I didn’t want to come”😂😂😂 Totally ME!!! Happy Wednesday Kristi!!!

I love this post!!!!! Why didn’t I add memes to my posts? Duh. Everything is better with memes.
I didn’t even add working out to my goals. Letsbehonest- I’m going to fail at that every single time. BUT, I did have “say no” on my goals too. I suffer from FOMO, so it’s hard! I want to be involved in everything! But we have to say no for our sanity, right???

So true!! I thought about not adding working out to mine too because I do fail all the time at that one but I’m hoping one of these years it’ll stick! Total FOMO over here too! We’ll ban together and say no more often 🙂

Also, just checking to see if the picture of Britney is showing up behind your title too or just on my comp? Your first picture is always kind of hidden. Could just be my screen setup though.

It usually shows up just smaller behind the title! I do that because if I don’t pick a picture – it picks a random one that has nothing to do with the post for some reason! Still learning this whole thing 🙂

So true! If I didn’t work all day, I’d like to think I’d want to go to the gym more often but not reality for me so I just have to keep trying..! Glad to know someone else is in the same boat!

I love the pictures, especially the netflix one. That’s not technically a lie…your plans are to sit around and binge watch shows. Nothing wrong with that!

Right?! That could be my plans every weekend if I didn’t feel the need to be social every now and then 🙂

I agree! Especially when it’s so cold here- I don’t want to bundle up just to go to the gym! I need to work on it! Any suggestions for motivation would be great 🙂

Memes really do make a blog post better! I agree with the saying no, we are always saying yes and then I’m left feeling overwhelmed and I hate that. Oh and working out, yeah, that and not to eat everything in sight 🙂

Ha! Seriously.. I’m not very good with not eating when I have an urge for something.. and eating everything in sight! Ha!
