Weekend wrap-up!

Whew!  I know I say this every weekend (you’d think I’d be used to it by now…) but I literally blinked and it’s back to Monday!  But my  heart is so full after such a fun weekend so let’s hope it boils over to the week!

What did I do this weekend that made me so happy, you ask?!

Well, I’ll tell you… I headed to Madison for the weekend with my Mama to visit my sister and nieces!

What did we do while I was there, you ask?  Well, maybe you’re not really asking but I’m telling anyway..

Friday was nice and easy!  We relaxed a little, made a fun popcorn Valentine treat, enjoyed pizza, played some monopoly (and wine) and watched Girl on a Train!

PSA: My sister and I used to not be close.. I mean, I was the annoying little sister BUT about 15 years ago, something changed and she’s one of my favorite people (and BIG SURPRISE: I’m one of hers too :)).

My mama brought some sweet Valentine gifts (mainly for my nieces) since we won’t see her for the holiday so of course, we needed to take some pictures!

Super cute little rain boots for when we take the pups out (or need to grab them to come inside!) and seriously.. she got them for $1!  How cute are they?!

Can’t wait to share this easy recipe on the blog for Valentine’s Day! Love being able to do stuff like this with my nieces! I’m in complete denial that T is going to be in high school in the Fall…

T had volleyball practice Friday night, so we played some Monopoly with S while we waited for her to come home!

And practiced “dabbing” with the headbands S sewed for us 🙂

Sweet girl sewed this headband for me ❤

Saturday was my Mama’s birthday and I’m so glad we could all be together for it!

I started the morning off with breakfast with one of my good friends from college (and met her sweet baby girl!) and I just love when we get time together!

We went to TNT’s for some waffles and coffee! I should have taken a pic of my waffles because they were huge but I was too busy devouring them, chatting and holding that sweet little baby!

I mean…. how precious is she?!  She was also the sweetest little thing and so well behaved! 😍

Side note: I met Niki in my English class in the fall of my Freshman year (can’t believe that was 11 years ago!) – she was so cute, spunky, welcoming and fun!  She totally made my years at EC worth the change from FL 🙂 And I’m so so glad we’re still good friends – it’s such an easy friendship that I’m so thankful for!

After breakfast, we headed to Niki’s house for a quick home tour and I’m so glad I got a chance to see all the fixing up they’ve done!

Love any time I get with them!

After visiting with the girls, I headed to play some mini golfing with my family and to start the celebrating!

A little obsessed with these videos 🙂

Sorry for the photo overload but let’s be real.. I love pictures 😍 #bigshock

Love these ones 🙂

Love the replica of Madison at Vitense!

I clearly needed to take approximately 1253 pictures and share them all because otherwise, it didn’t happen right?! 🙂 Ha!

After kicking butt at mini golf- I was 1 over par – we headed for the only logical place: Pedro’s- for some margaritas lunch!

After stuffing our faces with chips, salsa, margaritas and I suppose actual lunch too – we headed for some much needed relaxation! And a fun word game too 🙂

And of course some wine! Because #duh

And this little video because #reallife

We celebrated some more with angel food cake and presents- my Mama’s fav!

We were a little heated after playing “don’t steal my word!”. Have any of you ever played that card game?!  The words that come out are hilarious – especially if you include some slang!  According to S – “you really expand your vocabulary with this game”. Ha!

The dictionary was our BFF that night 🙂She loved her VS robe 🙂 Ps – we stopped in there after mini golfing and all clearance sleepwear was $7.50-$15!  And bras were $14.99… yassss!

And because it seems like all we did was drink this weekend – we headed out to the Nitty Gritty for all-you-can-drink birthday drinks and apps 🤗

We ended the night with a movie date with my nieces at home – the Storks was the pick of the night!

Sunday came and it was time for us to head home… it’s always so bittersweet leaving family weekends especially when it’ll be a while until we’re back but it was wonderful coming home to Logan and the pups 🙂

How was your weekend?!  Did you do anything crazy or was it laid back?

Red Velvet M&M Brownies

Last night I picked up my Eats cookbook and decided I’d give one of the Valentine desserts a try.  This one was so easy and only required 4 ingredients (gotta love that!).  I ran to the store quickly and picked up a box of red velvet cake mix and gave it a try!

I loved how easy they were and my hubs loves how tasty they were so I thought I’d share it today!

1 box red velvet cake mix

2 eggs

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 cup M&Ms (I used Valentine ones) and a few for garnish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease 9 x 13 (I used an 8 x 8 so they are thicker) baking dish.  Set aside.

Combine the first 3 ingredients in a mixing bowl with a spoon (batter will be thick).  Stir in M&Ms.

Spread batter across the bottom of prepared pan and bake about 14 minutes (if you do an 8 x 8 dish, I baked for 24 minutes) or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

After you pull the warm brownies out of the oven, sprinkle a few extra M&Ms on top.  Cut into squares and serve.

Of course, my pictures don’t do the recipe justice (compared to Shay’s – her pictures always look amazing!).

Let me know if you give it a try and what you think of it!  And if you love how simple this recipe is – definitely grab a copy of Eats!

What’s Up, Wednesday?

Happy Hump Day!  The last Wednesday of the month, I link up with a few of my favorite bloggers to share what’s been going on this month!

We answer these questions…

Without further adieu…. here’s what’s up with us over here!

{What we’re eating this week}

We’ve been eating lots from the Eats cookbook and I love  that they’re so easy!  I can honestly say I’ve cooked more this year already than I did all last year! We’ve had the Chicken Ranch pasta, Fiesta Chicken with rice and Pizza Enchiladas this week and they were all very good!  We had some left over stuffing from the pizza enchilada’s and they were great with the flatbread crackers!  We also made some buffalo chicken roll ups on Sunday for the Packer game and my husband is in love!

{What I’m reminiscing about}

I’m still thinking about Christmas time!  I can’t believe how fast the holidays came and went and now we’re 9 months away from the start of the holiday season!  I know, I’m crazy!

{What I’m loving}

DSW Clearance ! For real ladies… I am only sometimes a fan of DSW.  I don’t feel like their prices are that good most of the time compared to department stores so I don’t generally shop there.  BUT I went there on Monday and honestly, I got two pairs of shoes for $15 a piece!  I’ve been looking for a pair of leopard flats and these were perfect for $15!

{What we’ve been up to}

This past weekend I didn’t take any pictures.. can you believe that?!  Friday night we did a little date night happy hour!  We haven’t done happy hour in what seems like forever since my husband is busy with school and work so it was a nice little switch up.  I also finally saw Hidden Figures with a girlfriend on Saturday and it was so good!  I figured it would be based on the reviews but honestly, I think I cried through the majority of it (happy and sad tears!).

This picture has nothing to do with this post but how cute not to share?!

{What I’m dreading}

I have a pretty big meeting tomorrow at work and I’m a little bit dreading it; mainly because they’re doing a restructuring of all departments and eliminating (and changing) some positions so I’m anxious but nervous about what will be happening with my position! Fingers crossed and happy thoughts we’re all good!

{What I’m excited about}

Valentine’s Day and all that entails; mainly the colors and theme 🙂 I shared a fun tutorial for a valentine Pom-Pom wreath here

I put together a fun gift guide for any gals who are looking for ideas (or any guys looking for ideas for their girls!).

Throwing a fun Galentine’s Day party with my girlfriend, Jess!  We had so much fun at the Cookie Exchange that we thought this was the perfect time to celebrate friendships.  I’m thinking lots of red, pink, balloons, flowers and all those fun things!  I’m planning to share a fun guide in case you are wanting to do throw a fun party or brunch as well!

{What I’m reading}

I finished Teresa’s book last week and I always feel so accomplished when I finish a book!  Anyone else with  me on that?! I started The Matchmaker on Saturday and I don’t know if it’s just me but it’s kind of a slow start.. I’m about 60 pages in and I’m having the hardest time getting into it!  Anyone else feel this way?! I know many of you loved this book though, so I’m going to power through!

{What I’m watching}

Hart of Dixie!  I watched this last year and while it took a while to get into it, I ended up really loving it!  It’s an easy thing to have on and it makes me want to move back down south so badly! I mean, how cute is that little town?!  Have any of you watched this?!

{What I’m wearing}

All the pink and red. And all the Lilly Pulitzer 🙂

{What I’m doing this weekend}

It’s my Mama’s birthday on Saturday and we’re headed to my Sister’s for the weekend to celebrate!  I love any time I get to spend with my family; especially my sweet not-so-little nieces!  On that note, my oldest niece just set her schedule for HIGH SCHOOL in the fall… I can’t even believe she’s that old! I’m officially the person who says “I remember when you were first born.. and when you puked into my mouth and down my shirt when you were a month old, etc”!  I mean… I didn’t just say that did I?? 🙂

{What I’m looking forward to next month}

Umm.. hello, did someone say Valentine’s Day?  I love any holiday (seriously, I’m just like that) and I can’t wait to wear all the red and pink 🙂  Also,  our Galentine’s Day brunch that I mentioned above.. We can’t wait to go all out; decorations, brunch food, mimosas!  Did you just say “donuts”? Oh yeah, those beauties too!

Hope everyone has a fabulous Wednesday! And I can’t wait to hear what you’re all up to 🙂

Valentine Gal Gift Guide

Happy Tuesday!

I know we’re still a little ways out from Valentine’s Day BUT I thought I’d share a little gift guide in case you’re the giving (or receiving) type!  We don’t generally do a lot of big gifts – normally just a little dinner and maybe some flowers! But if we did gifts then these would be on the top of my list!

love wine glass / pineapple jewelry dish / floral coffee mug / cosmetic pouch / ‘Whatever’ workout tank / floral phone case / Tease perfume rollerball  / love bracelet / Laurel scented candle / love pillow / Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment

I mean, how cute is that phone case?! And that workout tank – I might actually enjoy working out a little more if I had one of those 🙂

What are some things on your wish list?  Do you do anything fancy or if you’re not with the one you love – do you do a girls night?

DIY Valentine Pom-Pom Wreath

Happy Monday! I’m still trying to get over the big Packer loss we had and it’s not making Monday any easier that’s for sure!

I thought I’d share a short and sweet tutorial today to get you ready for Valentine’s Day! I can’t believe we’re in the last week of January – I’m pretty sure it’ll be Valentine’s Day before I know it!

If you didn’t already know.. I love pom-poms.. they’re so cute on just about everything! Ive made them to put on my beach tote and even some garland.  If you’d like those tutorials, just let me know!

Without further adieu.. my favorite new wreath just in time for the love day!

Supplies you need:

  • Yarn ($2 at Michaels for a large roll) – any color but I used red, white and pink!
  • A Pom Pom maker – I found mine at Michaels but they’re out of stock online!
  • Foam wreath- I got mine at dollar tree for $1!
  • Scissors

First, you’ll make the pom-pom by wrapping the yarn around the two sides of the maker (see below).

You’ll repeat this step and do it on the other side of the maker as well!

Once you’ve done this so both sides are covered – you will then cut the yarn right in the middle (where the opening is).

Next, you’ll put a piece of yarn in the middle where you cut and then you’ll tie very tightly!

Hopefully these pictures are actually helping! Ha! I thought about doing a video tutorial and then decided that might be a bit much?!

Lastly, you will pull apart the maker and pull out your Pom-Pom! You will need to fix it a bit and cut a few of the strands so it looks more even! Then viola!

Now that the pom-poms are made, you can assemble your wreath! I made about 30 poms in order to fill this littler wreath!

You simply hot glue the poms to the wreath to your liking!

I did a mixture of the small and large poms to split it up a little bit! And after it was done.. I hung it up for some easy decorations!

I made two of these (one for the porch) and if I could change it – I’d add light pink in to show the different colors since the red and darker pink blend a bit!

Here’s how it looks outside!

Have you been decorating for Valentine’s Day? Or am I the only crazy one?! 😂

Friday Favorites!

It’s Friday, y’all!!!!

I’ll make this one short and sweet because we’re all ready for the weekend 🙂 I just have 8.5 hours between me and relaxing time!  We don’t have much plans for the weekend which is always nice in my book!  It’s especially nice this week because.. I have some reaction thing going on with my lips (and the doctor has no clue what the reaction was to.. so it’s up to me to figure out :() ..

I know that sounds funny and gross probably at the same time BUT I finally went to the Doctor yesterday and they prescribed me some cortisone creams to hopefully help it go back to normal.. I won’t gross you out with the details but I’ll be happy when my lips are back to smooth, not itchy and not dry!

Anyway onto some favorites of the week!

This dress..

I bought it on a whim during the Nordstrom’s half yearly sale (it’s still on sale!)  and I totally fell in love!  I’ve never really owned anything in this color but thought it would be pretty for fall/spring/winter and guess what?! It totally is 🙂 You can see more pictures and me attempting to pose 😉 here!

I also really love this dress and might need to grab it since it’s on sale!

I can’t believe we’re almost to the last full week of January already… I’ve been putting up some Valentine’s Day decorations – mainly because I love pink and red – and doing a lot of DIY’s.

Like this pom-pom wreath I’ll be featuring next week 🙂 Tune in to see what the end result is!

Speaking of Valentine’s Day… I think I totally need this top… I do, right?!

I finished Teresa’s book (see, we’re on a first name basis after that :)) and I’m happy to be done with it.  It wasn’t a favorite of mine but I liked how real she was about her experience.  I don’t watch RHONJ (I was a fan of OC housewives though!) so it was interesting to hear more about her life and how she started with the show.  I had no idea how it even came about!

And not that I wasn’t sure already but after reading her book, I NEVER want to go to prison.  If you’re looking for an interesting read, I’d definitely scoop it up!

The weather this week has been amazing – I’m talking 30s-40s which is insane for January!  It was literally -30 last week so funny to get it up so high BUT it’s definitely a favorite of mine!  I bought some tulips on Tuesday and am seriously obsessed with looking at them 🙂 They just brighten up my table and remind me that Spring is coming!

What are your favorite things for the week!? I’m debating between starting The Matchmaker or Emily Maynard’s book next… I just love that I’ve finally gotten back into reading more 🙂

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Guest Post – Katie’s Fitness Journey

I can’t believe it’s already Thursday (yay!).  I mentioned previously one of my goals for 2017 is to workout at least 3 days a week – in order to be healthier as it’s something I’ve always struggled with.  I thought it would be fun to have a fitness guru chat with us about her journey and how she started to get her life back.  It’s a long post but totally worth it 🙂

Let me preface this by saying – this is by no means, trying to get you to sign up as a coach or even to sign up for programs with BeachBody.  Katie’s story is more about showing what positivity working out can do for your life.  I know, I’m also not one to talk.. hello, I don’t work out often BUT I’m hoping this will pump me up to get back out there 🙂

Katie is one of the sweetest and encouraging girls I know.  With two boys and a little girl on the way, being a full time physical therapist and full time coach, she’s definitely got her plate full!

Katie and I talked about this blog post many months ago but as she mentioned “life has a ‘way of getting’ in the way” and that totally rings true in everyone’s lives.  She’s going to share about her journey through having her first son, post-partum depression, finding what works for her fitness wise and how she became one of her favorite things; a Beachbody coach!

“After a particularly crazy day (like puking toddlers, running on 2 hours of broken sleep, an oil change gone wrong, kind of day…), I sat down and thought about how I used to let the craziness take hold of my life. How I used to prefer to hide in my house, away from anything that required facing real life. How I used to allow depression and anxiety grip me tighter than I ever thought could happen to me. I had allowed post-partum anxiety to turn into ongoing depression and it took over my life. It stole my smile. Destroyed my body. Screwed with my relationship with my husband, close family, and worst of all, my son.

It wasn’t until I saw a little post on Facebook from an acquaintance of mine advertising a new workout program/system that I saw a glimmer of hope. I had always been an active person, played soccer in high school, enjoyed running, etc. But, I also enjoyed my beer, hot pockets, chips, and of course, chocolate! Unfortunately, these indulgences had started to take a toll on my new #mombod and I was feeling the negative effects of feeling “fat” for the first time in my life. I was very uncomfortable in my own skin, didn’t have any clothes that fit “right”, and my energy was severely lacking! Now before you stop reading, thinking I fell into just another “MLM marketing scam”, let me just tell you that I had the EXACT same doubts! But I wasn’t planning on using the program for anything other than to benefit my health, fitness, and waistline.

My “coach” added me into an accountability group she was running on Facebook where I would “check in” daily with my workout, meals for the day, and daily Shakeology drink. I was completely surprised at how tasty the Shakeology was, how it improved my digestion (helllllooooo normal poops!!), and really DID improve my energy without the need for added caffeine. The workouts were a ton of fun, definitely challenging for my #mombod self, and gave me enough variety. I think what kept me going was the other “challengers” in the accountability group were so supportive. I can remember one early morning at about 3am when my son, Jaydan, was awake, yet again, and I was so freaking TIRED and exhausted knowing I needed to be up at 5am the next day to get my workout in before work. I plugged into the accountability group while I laid crying on my hallway floor and asked for some help.

Shortly after posting in there, someone commented and said something so simple “Cherish these moments with him. Soak up the snuggles. There will be a day when he no longer wants them”. Of course, I have heard this before, but it was JUST what I needed to hear at that time and helped me through a tough night/morning. It was then that I really saw the POWER of these groups. The friendships and bonds that could be formed in such a short time were something I didn’t even know I was looking for in my life. I could feel a shift start happening….. (SIDE NOTE: This challenger is now one of my best friends….someone I never would have met without this opportunity.).

I completed the program and lost 9lbs and 12 inches in just 3 weeks. I was FLOORED at my results and so stinkin’ excited that I was able to do this for ME! It was hard at times to realize that just 30-45 min a day of “me-time” is NOT selfish, and in fact, makes me such a better friend, daughter, wife, and MOM….but once I figured out that small little key to my success, I knew I wanted to share it with other moms who may be struggling as well.

After the 21 days, I stopped the shakeology. I stopped the consistency of the workouts. I slowly began to gain the weight back and negative thoughts began to creep their way back in. It wasn’t until then that I realized I NEEDED this opportunity. I NEEDED something to hold me accountable and a hobby to give me that JOY again.

So I dove in. I signed up as a Beachbody Coach. I did the trainings, I learned all the things, I went to events, I held my own accountability groups, I started to see that I, yes little old ME, could help others who were in the same dark place that I was once in. It was official….I was part of an MLM! Haha. My husband cringed and told me I was in a pyramid scheme (NOT true for many reasons, but I can address those with you at a later time if you’d like! 😉 ), my close family didn’t agree with what I was doing but let me go on my way. I had haters. I had people “unfriend” me. But I also had new challengers. I also had moms coming to me for advice. I was also building new relationships with interesting people who are now my friends. I had found my calling. I had found something that made me happy again. I looked forward to waking up again. I had found myself again.

Fast forward almost 2.5 years and I am happy to say that I am still a Beachbody Coach. I am still actively helping other moms find their way in this new crazy #momlife. Or helping both men and women (not just moms) find that happiness within themselves again through health and fitness. It hasn’t been all rainbows and butterflies. It’s hard work.

I am a coach, full time physical therapist, mom of two boys (and a little girl on the way), and some days I wonder how on earth I continue to get it all done. But you can’t pour from an empty cup you guys. And coaching fills my cup…spills it over the brim….so there is ALWAYS time for it. If you’re looking for a change. If you’re sick of feeling “crappy”—whatever that term means to you. If you’re tired of being tired……I may just be able to help you out. All you can do is try – and taking a chance on YOU is always a better choice than sitting back and not trying, wouldn’t you agree?

Thank you Kristi for letting me share my story. Even if it inspires just one other person, I will have lived up to my “job”.

Thank YOU, Katie for sharing your story!  And if you want any information about fitness or the BeachBody programs – you can contact Katie at TeamOvercomersBB@gmail.com or reach out to her via Facebook.com/crothers.katie

Woof – that was a long one, huh?! But seriously so inspiring!  I think we’ve all felt that sometimes we aren’t happy with ourselves (image wise) or we aren’t happy with some things in our lives that we have no control over – Fitness is one that we can work on and take complete control over.

Have any of you tried any of the BeachBody programs?  If so, did you like them?!

Thanks for reading along and I’ll chat with you tomorrow with some Friday Favorites 🙂

What I’m Wearing Wednesday!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  The weather has been surprisingly warm this week (when I say warm I mean like 25+ 😂 but no complaints here!) and I was happy to be able to put on a dress yesterday and not completely freeze!

I shared a few of my thoughts and sharing an outfit that’s $200+ is not something I’d ever do so the outfit I’m sharing today is on sale and you might want one in every color!

I’ll take one in every color! No joke. When I find a top, dress, jeans etc that I like I tend to buy it in every color.. if you feel good in it, you have to right?!

I’ll take a comfy dress and over the knee boots any day!

It will definitely become an outfit in my rotation every week/month!

What are some of your favorites to wear weekly/monthly?

Tuesday Talks!

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  It’s better than Monday, right?! I am linking up with Erika and Ashley for a lovely talk Tuesday!  Or I should say for a “thoughtful Tuesday” because I’m all about randomness today!

I have a ton of important information and thoughts for you today.. and when I say important, I mean not important at all! In fact, it’s just random ramblings because those are always good!  Want to know what I’ve been thinking about..?!

  • Scarves:  I have a bit of an obsession with them.. more buying them than wearing them!  Wearing them can be fun- it’s a great accessory for any outfit (hello, have you seen my insta?!).. but buying them and planning how I’d like to wear them eventually?! So much fun!
Image result for funny scarf memes

  • Trying to sound smart when you’re saying a fancy word- and getting it completely wrong!  Like I thought I was ordering Foccacia correctly (I mean, I practiced 7 times in line!) and as soon as I said it, the server corrected me.. again!
  • Getting into your car at a winery and having a car block you in – while letting out their elderly mother (or friend… who knows!) and staring at you and your friend the whole time. Umm what is the problem, bro?! Then pulling out and realizing you parked in the handicap spot.. umm why is the sign on the building away from the parking and not on the actual parking spot.. whoops!! Citizen of the year award!
  • Giving a pep talk to the puppies when I let them out – and by pep talk I mean, encouraging them to go to the bathroom (Go potty, Desty! Hurry up and go poop!).  I’m pretty sure my neighbors think I’m crazy.

Image result for funny puppy poop memes

  • On that same note of neighbors.. our neighbors are NOT friendly.. at all! I was hoping when we moved in that we’d be in the neighborhood with the fun parties and barbecues but.. they don’t even smile.. they don’t introduce themselves when you move in (or say hi to them outside).. and heaven forbid they join in any friendly chatting.. therefore I’m pretty sure they all think I’m a stay at home dog mama or in the mafia or something- not really, but I’m pretty sure it’s weird for them that I’m home 3 days a week (sometimes 4) since they can’t tell that I’m WORKING from home!

Random shot from our honeymoon just because!

  • Isn’t it terrible when you go into the public bathroom stall to pee (of course!) and it smells like complete butt and when you walk out of the stall – someone else walks in.. Do you tell them it smells so badly because of the person before you.. so they don’t think it’s you?!  Would they even believe you or would that just be awkward? Is it weird I think of those things?!
  • It’s always so awkward when you’re singing along to a song and the artist get the lyrics wrong!  I hate when that happens!

Sometimes when I find out the actual lyrics to a song, I discover that I like my version better.:

  • Total win moment as I was looking at our honeymoon pictures recently (can we please go back?!) – when you’re on your honeymoon and blow drying your hair upside down (with the resorts blow dryer) and all of a sudden you scream for your husband- and he has to run in to help you.. get your hair unstuck from the backside of the blow dryer.. It’s not my first rodeo with a blow dryer and as I’m crying I’m pretty sure my husband was trying not to laugh at me..
Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling

The night of the “incident”!

  • With that said instance.. parts were so tangled/shriveled, we realized we’d have to cut it off – and the only thing we have?  A razor… clearly I’m a hot mess just at the thought of that- props to my husband for picking a real winner 🙂
  • How is there always so much traffic on the roads – regardless of the time of day?! And why does the traffic ever come to a complete stop while on the highways if there are no accidents?! I mean.. I seriously think this every single time I drive!! And I never understand it.  Why did we all have to come to a complete stop while going 65 mph?? Makes no sense to me!
  • How some bloggers literally pay over $200 for a top or dress and think that their audience can do that?! I mean, I think those outfits are way cute but let’s be real here… how??  Don’t get me wrong, I still follow along 🙂 but if anyone knows how I can get that stuff for cheaper (or want me to do a segment on a save vs splurge items) lemme know!
My heart says cheese dip, but my jeans say, for the love of God woman eat some celery! | Cry For Help Ecard:

So much yes on this.  I just have to keep telling those jeans no.. that’s the answer to this right?! 🙂

Well… I think I’ve rambled on long enough about seriously random topics so I’ll let you go on with your Tuesday!  Please tell me I’m not alone with some of these thoughts? Maybe you just don’t say them out loud since it’s not really appropriate – promise next time I’ll not talk so much about poop 🙂

Weekend Recap!

I feel ya little girl… Totally how I’m feeling since it’s already Monday and we’re headed to a full week!  Regular two days weekends just go by way too fast! I know I’ve said it a million times but for real.. three day weekends are where it’s at – so if you could switch that around, that would be great!

We had a relaxing weekend and it was seriously the best!

Friday night – I had a girls night with one of my bests and it was so much fun!  We had happy hour and dinner at Old Chicago before heading to see Sing!

I can’t remember the last time I was at an Old Chicago so it was a nice change up!

Sing was so cute! Our one critic – We both said we wish there was more singing and music throughout the movie! It is called Sing after all!  I’m a huge Reese Witherspoon fan if you didn’t know so I was excited to see Rosita 🙂 I always feel a little funny at kid movies because we were literally the only people there without children! Ha!

Saturday, the hubs and I cleaned the basement out!  I hadn’t put my Christmas stuff away under the stairs yet so it kind of looked like Santa was hiding down there! Which if so, I didn’t find him after all was said and done 😦 After about 4 hours of cleaning, we decided to hit up some Bingo!

We haven’t won in years so I wasn’t sure I wanted to go – not a sore loser but it just isn’t fun if we never win! If you follow me on Snapchat (ballwekl) then you’d know that this time…

Yes, I’m wearing a ridiculously similar shirt as the night before.. Love me some Lilly!

I won!  We were even 1 away from the $1099 jackpot! The hubs kept saying “if we win twice, we’re going to get lottery tickets!” Ha! We didn’t win twice but once was enough for me!

We watched the football games after we got home and a little Con Air that was on tv 🙂 Can’t believe it was from 1997!

I mean… look at that mullet! 😂

Sunday was a day to totally relax (because cleaning and bingo took a lot out of us!) – we did some grocery shopping for game day and I did a little Valentine’s Day decorating (I love pink and red in case you didn’t know!)! It was 30 degrees out which was so warm compared to the previous weeks! I’m ready for the 40 degree weather we’re supposed to have this week! I can’t even believe it’ll be that warm!

Oh yeah.. and we watched the Packers kick some butt!

I just thought this was so funny #becausemaury

 But really… it was a close game and I thought I was going to have a heart attack the last quarter but in the end we pulled out the win! Onto the Falcons next week… one more win to the Super Bowl!

How was your weekend?! Did you watch the football games or do more exciting things?!
