Helllllllo Monday.. I can’t say i’m happy to see you… AT.ALL.
I swear Friday comes and I literally blink it’s already Monday. Ugh. I’m still on board with weekends being 4 days and work weeks being 3 days… Anyone else with me on that?? These changes can happen at any time… #justsaying #illbewaiting
Until that changes, I’ll move on with life and recap our fun/crazy/busy weekend in Oshkosh this past weekend!!
You see… the hubs’ cousin decided he and his fiance were going to get married… in 10 days!! Yes you read that right, 10 DAYS! There were some other circumstances that lead to their decision which I’ll leave unsaid, mainly because it’s not my story to tell. Anywho… 10 days ago, Ryan reached out to me to ask if I’d help with their wedding, i.e. be the wedding coordinator day and sorts. Of course, I said YES because #iloveweddings #ilovetohelpout! They let me know last Tuesday evening that I would be in charge of the decorations and kinda hoped I’d have some plans for their event space.. Throw together a wedding (decor wise) in 3 days?! Sure, I can be amazing with pressure! 🙂
*a few “to-dos” for the wedding before we headed to Oshkosh*
I set out immediately to figure out what I could use of our decorations in the basement (from our wedding!) and what my plan would be. After checking some things off the list (see picture below!!) I headed out to Michaels for a few other last minute things!
One way or another, we were going to make it a day/night to remember and the Bride & Groom were so thankful!

We loaded up the car and set off to Oshkosh!!

After a long day of errand running and planning!
Saturday morning started off with a quick Farmer’s Market run for some additional flowers with my MIL and SILs. I had big ideas for flowers and just needed to make sure we’d have enough for the day!

Eating some cheese curds and egg rolls along the way!

First bouquet – check!! Love this SIL of mine 🙂

Got the flowers, some Starbucks and it’s off to the venue!!
*A “before” picture – a lot of space to fill!!
We had lots of help (thanks to everyone and big shout out to my hubs family!!) decorating and setting up which was great because we had a lot of ground to cover!
The hubs and my FIL/BIL hung lights all around the pavilion! #Magical We hung burlap with some tulle around the chairs to spruce them up a little bit 🙂

The “almost” final set up! Missing the arch with flowers and the baby’s breath on the back of the last row of chairs!
I decided I wanted something “different” for the bar area so it was more of a functional decor piece versus just a plain table! A little Pinterest searching and a lot of thoughts of what I’d like (and the couple of course!) and what would be easy enough to do in a short period of time… and BAM! This idea was born 🙂
Again, I didn’t get a “final” picture with the washtub filled with some ice and drinks; lemonade in the glass jar and a “fun” saying on the chalkboard #HappilyWeberAfter
This cute little area was for the “gift/cards” table. Luckily I already had these bins from our wedding (and front porch!) so it was more budget friendly! I thought this was perfect for more of a decor piece as well so we could add to the space- more personable! *the Bride made the card box!*
This table was for their guestbook- quilt squares to be written “sweet messages” on to later be made into a quilt for the happy couple!
The tables were pretty simple- in that we had flowers all along them and pies were added for some more personal touches! *Don’t mind the bottled waters.. we needed something to keep the linens from blowing before guests arrived!*
After we had what we thought was enough done for the time being- we headed back home to shower and get ready for the PARTY!

My SIL and I after decorating our butts off!!
The rest of the day and night was so much fun! The couple had a beautiful ceremony and a fun party/night to celebrate with everyone! Wish I had taken more pictures but I’ll be sure to post some later once the professional releases hers 🙂
A few photos of the Bride and Groom…

So much love! And such an amazing turnout for such short notice!!

Definitely feeling the love!! 🙂
And some fun pictures #justbecause

A fun bridal party!

Can’t believe how old my SIL looks!! 🙂 Sibling love!

Clearly blinded by the light 🙂

My SIL and SIL-to-be!! Soon enough at least 🙂
It was such a fun day and totally worth the extra work! I’m so so glad I could help take even a little bit of stress away from the couple and their families to make sure their day went off without a hitch! They deserved the BEST.DAY.EVER and I think they got that! 🙂 They have a LONG road ahead of them so if you’re the praying type, please say a little prayer for them- it’s truly appreciated!!
And just like that.. the weekend is over and we’re back to working our lives away! At least until next Friday 🙂 It’s always such a good time with the hubs family… just wish it wasn’t a 5 hour drive away!
I hope you had a great weekend and are feeling refreshed for the week ahead! I’ll be back tomorrow recapping my segway tour around downtown Minneapolis!
