Friday Favorites!

Happy Fri-Yay!! So incredibly glad it’s almost the weekend- and a long weekend at that! I bet you thought i’d say that I was going to catch up on sleep this weekend but you are wrong!  There’s no sleep for the wicked!! Is that how the saying goes?! Probably not but who cares… it’s Friday!!!

I am linking up with a few of my favorite bloggers on this beautiful Friday to share some of my favorite things from the last few weeks!

One

Have you checked out the giveaway on the blog yet?! If not, check it out over here!  It goes until Tuesday 06/05 at midnight and a winner will be picked at random (after being verified!)!  Easy peasy 🙂 While i’m at it, here’s a few of my favorites from Nordstrom:

And I featured more items I love from Nordstrom here.  Don’t forget their Anniversary Sale starts in just a few short weeks- amazing prices for fall and winter items!

Two

It’s Fourth of July weekend and that means a long weekend for some drinks, family time and sun!  Just kidding… let’s all take a moment to remember why we’re truly celebrating this Holiday and give thanks to the MANY MANY soldiers who are still fighting every day so that we can live this life we all are blessed to have!

Three

Speaking of the long weekend- the hubs’ family is in town for the whole weekend and that means a full house full of laughter and fun!  We haven’t hosted his family since August (my bridal shower) so it’s definitely well over-do!  What plans do we have, you ask?? Well, the hubs’ coworker has this AMAZING (i’m talking thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars worth of fireworks) fireworks show at his house in the country so we’ll definitely be doing that this weekend!

We’ll also be hitting up the outlet mall for some great shopping and hopefully great deals..

And i’m sure we’ll play lots of games with quite a few drinks 🙂

Four

Look what showed up on our doorstep yesterday….

And this…. is a definite favorite of mine!!  The hubs ordered crawfish this weekend (straight from Louisiana, y’all!) to have a mini boil this weekend with his family!!  We have had one every year (for the past two years at least! We’re hoping to keep it a yearly event!) for his birthday weekend BUT this year we will be celebrating great friends saying “I do!” during that weekend so we’re going to do a mini one with his family this weekend! Can’t wait for them to try it! 🙂

Five

I just LOVE these cute little mason jar treats that I made for our Fourth of July weekend! I pretty much love anything that’s in a mason jar- they are so stinkin’ cute (because that’s what really matters, right??) and so incredibly yummy!! I love how easy these little shortcakes are as well- you can make them up early or even right on the fly!

You can find the full recipe here.

Hope you all have a fabulous 4th!
